{Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages- Week 2 - The Layouts!}

Quick post, a few layouts created from week 2 sketches, I even managed to use my new calico!

Using some of the Echo Park papers - I am really loving these so fun and bright. With just a couple of snaps from when we went out to lunch!

I loved this picture of the Girls from SJ's party, and confession I think Jen's Husband to the piccie!!. I coupled it with some new and old October Afternoon, and made a little line of bunting.
And finally - using the New Calico kit. One of the many pictures of Maxwell with those big eyes staring straight at the camera! LOL!!
OMG it is warm today! Try and stay cool!! xx

{Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages- Week 2}

Unfortunately this week I have not found the time to scrapbook so much, this is also coupled with my printer ink running out! Though I ordered some pictures through photobox and they should be here this week. But I have LOVED learning how to use my camera out of automatic mode. And I have been taking a load of pictures knowing now what I want from them, rather than just point and shoot! Here are some of my favorite shoots from this week's assignments.

In other news Maxwell turned 5 Months this Sunday and is now sitting up like a pro - we have a few tumbles as he is very nosey and can't do 2 things at once! LOL

Enjoy your day - i have a one layout finished and another on my desk awaiting finishing touches so should be back with pretty things too (plus collected my studio calico kit at the weekend!!)

{Little Musing - Mix Tape}

Have you seen SJ's cutest Friday Freebie today? A mix tape, god that brings back so many memories!? I had a little tape deck and tape holder in pink.

As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make a backing paper to turn it into a CD paper wallet for a Mix CD. I used the a photo editing programme, I don't have photoshop so I downloaded a free version of GIMP to use. It was quite easy to turn into the backing paper - but I felt it was a bit bright. So I turned it gray scale for a backing paper.

I then grabbed a paper CD wallet we had for blank CD's by the computer.

And tore it open, to use as a template. (Cheating!)
Drew round it onto the back of the cardstock.
And cut it out...
I scored it on the backs and folded it up. Stuck it down with double sided tape. and Voila!

I spruced up the front a bit with some scraps of paper, letter stickers and some stickles!!

Check out the blog for the other projects made with amazing FREE download.

Weekend is here! whoop! xx

{Love Your Pictures, Love Your Pages- Week 1}

This class of Shimelles I have found SOOOOO inspiring! Truly Awesome! I have enjoyed getting my camera out, snapping away and then scrapping! I have been so inspired that I even did a page at 10 o'clock at night, when I am usually in bed reading lol!!!

Here a few of my 'Love Your Pictures' from this week.
And some layouts - some using the pictures I took this week but All using the sketches - I am so feeling sketches at the moment, really helps to scrap quick I find lol!!
A favorites page always a good one! The photo I took on the 'big' camera but then I used my iPhone and the hipstamatic app to take a photo of the computer screen - best of both :) listing my loves right now which includes diet coke, special K topped with strawberries and bananas, watching Everwood, Tuna fishcakes etc (Dear lizzy paper makes me smile so happy I've used on it a happy page!)
Signs of Maxwell in the flat are now EVERYWHERE. so the little shots are just some of the things and the journalling lists alot more. Like his bumbo, bouncy chair, play mat, bottles, baby milk, pureed food in the freezer -the list goes on. (using lovely AC abode pp!)
Pairing up a portrait shot taken at SJ's Birthday bash and one of my Love your pictures assignments. Using up some calico kit. I really like this page, it's to tell the story of how much I love Family Life.
Maxwell has toy 'love' selection. These are the ones we pack in the bag when we go out and keeps him very happy! (i am so not sure where the apostrophes should go so if someone can advise thanks!)
Other news....
Little Musings went live on Friday - it is the cutest Polaroid camera! And an amazing download package include background paper! Well I just printed one of the images onto white cardstock cut it and stuck it down (on foam pads, a scrappers best friend lol!!) I am in love with this colour combo - grey, pink and lime green :)

And some cute pictures from my weekend - erm how hot??
Maxwell and K in the restaurant we went too.
Maxwell with his Grandad (my dad) chilling on the grass outside our flat (he was still in his pj's!)
And i actually made it to a crop, my first in like 8 months and it was really half a crop but anyhoo... I managed to make a start on my Document 2010 June pages - on track! :)

Enjoy your Sunday Evenings! xx

{Oh Hello Mojo!}

I have been on a scrapping roll recently - god knows how this has happened as I have also had time to see family, friends, play with Maxwell, take him swimming, cook dinners, make bottles and do the washing!?!

Ok I know who - I kinda cheated?! Haha - I have recently been finding that challenge blogs have really been getting my scrapping brain ticking over, so by the time I find a quick half hour I pretty much have an idea of what I'm doing - Example of this - read blog post challenge in the evening, and think 'oh yes I can do that' Next morning after lil'man had breakfast and gone down for nap - grab papers etc and kinda lay the layout out (hmm not sure that sentence makes sense but you know what I mean) then later in the day once Mr taking his afternoon nap and glue and stick like a mad women!! and voila layout done!

The recent challenge blogs I have used are Creative Scrappers - this is a super recent find of mine, some very talented ladies rocking it over at this blog! And here is my take on the sketch. K took this photo on a recent trip to Richmond Park and I loves it, I'm thinking of framing it for the front room. I've used June Studio Calico kit! :)

And another sketch...Twisted Sisters. When I saw the twist was Sunshine I knew I had to try it. 'Good Morning Sunshine' is what I say to little man EVERY morning. And pretty much throughout the day I will call him Sunshine at least once! And he really is. Again using Studio Calico! :)
And finally - here are a few of the pictures I've taken for Love Your Pictures class with Shimelle. I am totally inspired, and have found the best light in the flat *happy face*

{Weekend & pretty paper stuff}

Yet another weekend over with :( Why do they go so quick. This weekend saw I trip to the Park, chilling out at home, a little scrapping, no cooking(whoop!), Baby Ella's christening and watching the tennis. I am now extremely tried! But I had a fantastic time. The sun was shining and little man was happy (apart from extreme meltdown last night as he was sooooo tired - he was so tired in fact he slept round til 8 this morning! Shocker!!)

Onto pretty paper stuff...

The ever so talented SJ draws the most loveliest downloads - which you lucky lot can download FREE every Friday! So last week I whipped up at little card with cute armchair download! SJ kindly provides the drawings in colour and B&W outline. And as much as hearted the colour option I had plans for the line drawing.

First I printed out the line drawings on to plain a4 paper 4 times. Then I used my trusty repro herma and attached scraps of paper over the images - over the sections I wanted to be in that paper. Then re ran the paper through the printer and voila!

I then cut out the parts and built up my image - basically like decoupage. Once finished I added some October Afternoon as the backing (i thought it looked like wallpaper) But it was a bit bright for the back, so to tone it down I sprayed it with a Maya Road mist in Lime. Printed off my sentiment and stuck it altogether. Complete card done! But check out SJ's blog for what the other CT did with the download.

I also managed a layout this weekend about out household lion loves. This was also in response to the studio challenges.

That's it - excited about Shimelle class starting today! Whoop!
