{Baby Loves List @ 18 weeks}

I had no idea before having a baby how much 'stuff' there is out there for little ones! But I soon discovered how quickly my life can be taken over by baby related things. I decided to blog mine (and Maxwells) current {heart} list.

** Sophie the Giraffe. I bought mine from Little Sunflowers but if you google it there are plenty of stockists. This Giraffe is so lovely - I bought on recommendation of a friend but it seems to be very popular toy amongst celeb babies at the moment. Maxwell has only just recently started to hold on to her - but it so easy for him to grab round her neck and chew on the ears and horns on his gums.
**Tommee Tippee Explora First Sips cup. I picked ours up in Asda - but so far it has been a big success. I've started using these cups for his water/juice for the day and normal bottles for his milk. He looks so proud when he holds and drinks. The cup is great as there is a valve system inside so Maxwell still has to suck to drink and it doesn't just pour out.
**Annabel Karmel Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner book. As Maxwell is getting to an age to start weaning I decided to pick up this book for a bit of advice. To be honest I had read some of Gina Ford but she just scared me! But this book did not do that. I felt quite calm and in control over the whole thing and gave me some great pointers to how to start.
**Babylegs. Now I read about these over at Heir to Blair (love this blog!! the tales of a Mummy!) And I fell in love with them! I knew that my little Maxwell needed babylegs in his life. I think there great - I pack them in the changing bag, and if it gets a little chilly while out I can pull these on and little mister has warm legs again. Plus I think they will be fab once he starts crawling (and now I want them in lots of colours. Currently owned green polka dot and cow print! oh and i got mine from ebay) **Jellycat Skidaddle Elephant aka Elly. This elephant is adorable and one of Maxwell's fave toys - he can hold onto the legs and tries to on many occasions put the whole thing in his mouth. This was a present from SJ at my baby shower but I really would like to get Maxwell some more - after seeing how much he loves this one. :)**Lazmaze Toys - are truly fab. Maxwell has Logan the Lion and Sir Prance-a-lot. He really lives both, really bright coloured, rings to hold, they make noise! What more could he want. We picked up both of his off Amazon but I know they are also sold in Toys R Us.

So that is my current {heart} list I'm sure in a few weeks/months time this will have changed lol - he is changing so quick!

{In the nick of time}

I've created my Document 2010 pages for May that it!! Whoop to me.

I know the sun is shining and I should be out enjoying it with lil'man. But it's just a lil bit too hot for him (and me!) so we have been out this morning but retreated indoors for the afternoon.

I decided to get my pages done (and to cheer me up!) I used up my Studio Calico from last month (still have a ton left) and the pages are done.

May was kinda busy - days in sun, watching a friend run, buying stuff for Maxwell, getting stuff me!, happy mail, and a night out without Maxwell.
Also - over the weekend Shimelle challenged us to choose a picture and scrap it (coincidence as it was one the Shimelle had taken while we celebrated SJ's birthday in wonderland). Well this one was lying on my desk so within an hour (while K did was on Maxwell duty lol!) This photo just makes me smile (thank you Shimelle for taking it!)

Have fun blogloand xx

{Happy Fathers Day, Birthday Celebrations & Lions}

Firstly check out my sparkly new bright shiny blog!! Courtesy of the talented Ms SJ!! How cute are those lions, we have a 'thing' about lions in this household even more so with the arrival (actual pregnancy!) of Maxwell. K likes to refer to us as a little pride of lions, he loves the film Lion King (Which we cannot find on DVD!! :( really want a copy for us!) When I was pregnant we didn't know what we were having, hence we were always looking for unisex stuff. I saw this nursery set (zooby island from boots, sorry pictures are soo small) and was inspired....

My lovely parents bought us the moses basket and lucky us we got a few other bits at the baby shower. But after seeing this I had decided that jungle animals, especially lions would be the theme. Since then we have acquired a lot more lion related stuff. Which makes me smile!
Hence the little lions in the header bar, drawn by the very talented SJ. You should totally check out her little musing! There are so fabulous!!
Onto fathers day. As it was K's first I tried very hard to make it lovely. Maxwell (aka me) got him a star wars t shirt, chocolate bar with daddy on it, and I made him a Dad t-shirt. Also got Maxwell a little shirt saying 'Daddy taught me everything I know' lol!The t-shirt I made.
Fathers day cuddles with daddy.
Fathers Day was also my sisters 22nd birthday, which meant we had a nice family afternoon chilling in the garden.Maxwell all party'ed out!

Check out the little desserts my mum made, delish huh??
In other news...photobox order arrived whoop, I have my document 2010 may to do (whoops) and a few other layouts etc i'd like to do! hmmm!!
Enjoy your day people xx

{Getting my scrap on...}

Yesterday was so much fun seeing all the pictures from SJ's lovely tea party at the weekend. I've uploaded a load of photos ready to order to get scrapping.
In the spirit of that, thought I had better finish off the layout which has been sitting there half finished for the past week (and also as I got my hands on this months SC kit whoop!)

I wanted to record my new 'name' aka mum. lol. I loved all the girlie papers in last months kit, and all those buttons! *joy*
Also this layout I put together the sketchy Thursday guest dt sketch. I love this picture of Maxwell, he's eyes are so dark! this was one of the first times he was holding himself up like this.
Finally - as promised the shadow box for Maxwell's room (along with a new friend! Thanks Laura!, we have a thing for jungle animals here!) Also excuse the glare!
That's me, Lil man shall be waking up soon for a bottle! xx

{A Big ol'round up}

Apologies blog land I have been both enjoying the gorgeous sunny weather we have had here in the UK (making maternity leave that much better) and also just enjoying creating, spending time with the family and friends and watching TV (whoops).
Without further ado.....
My March and April document 2010. I have used some of my yummy new stash and also some older stash in attempt to stash bust!!
Then a little layout I pulled together of our first 'official' family pic. Maxwell not even 24 hours old! This is a blimming awful pic of me, and I did think about not posting it here - but you know what, I had just given birth and been in labour for over 24 hours prior to that! But this picture and the moment caught in the picture - makes my heart fill with joy and love!!
I don't think I mentioned it, but I nabbed myself a studio calico kit. *happy face* so I have a few layouts I've created with it. One a photo taken while at the hospital on the maternity ward. As the title says we were 'Almost Parents' and the other just of my little man not more than a day old (and yes that is pink on my little boys page!! )I also made this little shadow box for our front room 'photo wall'. Our first name initials run in alphabetical order - which I think is pretty cute and so not intentional. The frame is from Ikea if anyone is interested, I have also made one for Maxwell's room using some yummy sassfrass (yes SJ lots of Sassfrass ;)!! ) Will post pictures of that another time. In a little Maxwell round up... He is now in his cot as of last night, he wants to stand all the time!, we took hm swimming which he loved, he will be 16 weeks on Thursday, when i Put him on his front for tummy time he keeps falling asleep! lol, he went to his second birthday party this week and we are off to another on Saturday ! Also I have been reading up about baby led weaning?? I will leave y'all with some Maxwell pictures

With his 'Sophie the Giraffe'
Looking rather smart at the birthday party

I will try not to leave it so long next time ;)
