Maxwell William George Edwards, 8lb 10 born on 18th febuary 2010 via emergancy c section. We are both doing well getting used to each other and also have one happy daddy!

{Document 2010 and more...}

Hey blogland! Hope your all well!!

Well I finished my document 2010 layouts - and I'm really pleased with them! Hopefully it will be something I can continue throughout the year!!

First page with my envelope of 'stuff' including a receipt from shopping, my baby shower invites, leaving card from work, tag from my baby changing bag (kipling from my mum yay!) plus a selection of other photos not used.

Then the divided pages using up some pictures showing my leaving balloons, the TV guide where we have discovered and loving glee, pic from a day out and a business card from the restaurant, pic of the scarf I'm knitting (slowly!) and some of the wool used and some bits and pieces from by baby shower.
Last page - focus for this month Waiting for Baby. We did a lot in Jan in preparation - me leaving work, sorting out baby's room, buying the buggy and car seat, packing my hospital bag, having a baby shower, washing the bedding and clothes and attending antenatal classes.

IN regards to the baby shower I haven't shown you the gift the talented SJ gave us...

Apart from these layouts I haven't been very motivated to do anything!! I have however baked a couple of cakes and read a book in 24 hours but not done anything creative. I think about it and then that's about it!! Not great! So this is me at 39+6days pregnant. Tomorrow is my due date and no baby as yet!

{Make a Card on a Monday!}

Monday, beginning of the week! Never a fun day I admit. However today had a few things on my to do list (including buy some thank you gifts, get milk, sort out photos for my document:2010, make a couple of thank you cards, buy stuff to make baby shower thank you cards and buy a birthday present!) All started well and good....except my car wouldn't start. So after a few phone calls a slight change of plans all proceeded.

Here are the pics as I made my thank you card for my sister, she organised majority of my baby shower so wanted to make her a card to say thanks! Over the past few weeks have really enjoyed making a quick card here and there. Might try make a few more as I'm sure when baby arrives I won't have time!

First I chose some paper and cardstock from scrap bag (which is all I really use for card making!) plus a large chipboard U. I had an open packet of these on my desk so seemed like the perfect choice. Trimmed the paper to the size needed. Next I picked out some contrasting paper and some letter stamps. I love these little studio g ones! Perfect size!

I stamped the THANK onto it and cut out a rectangle and folded it in half.Then it was attached to the pink dotted swiss to one side - bit like a clothes label

I then picked out a bit of contrasting ribbon and tied round the heart paper before sticking to the card.

And ta-dah! Card done! Phew! Quick work!

Also here's a couple of layouts I finished off recently.

This was a photo taken by SJ back in November. So cute I love it. I've used bazzil glazed cardstock and dotted swiss (the black), some thickers, some bling and some hambly. Oh and the Happiness label I downloaded from two peas - designed by the lovely Shimelle Laine!

And this one. I took this photo of K back in October - he looks so lovely! I used Kraft bazzil, cosmo cricket, thickers, and a few other bits I had laying about!
