{Film Night}

Those who know me may also know that K is rather big comic book geek!! So he was v.excited about the new wolverine film - and last night it opened, so we were there in the cinema watching it by 9.00pm!!
And well I loved it. Great storyline, great actors and some impressive action - plus Hugh jackman!!!! I loved all the other x-men films too and this one was no disappointment!!
On another note - since creating my igoogle account and using google reader( thanks to the suggestion of Laura) I have found all these other blogs to read and inspire me. {April Showers??}

Where are they? How beautiful has the weather been? I'm sitting here at 7.50pm on a Sunday Night and the sun is streaming in, the skies are blue and I spent the day inside scrapping?? Crazy huh!!!! But you know what, I had a lovely day just being creative, surrounded by paper and watching Gossip Girl on boxset (Think I'm obsessed!!)

So what did I do?

Well mainly I have been playing with this month's GoGo Kit. GoGo have started up a little thing called the Academy - which is fun prompts to get people scrapping!!! And it did just that...

My first little page is about what I am proud about me? When I read the prompt - the thing I am proud of jumped out of me. It's me and driving! It's a stupid thing really and some people find it easy, but it was never something I found that easy to do. I tried to get out of lessons and once I passed would try anyway to get out of it. But recently it has become something I find a lot easier to do. I have driven on the motorway and through central London. Again this may be a small, insignificant thing to others - but to me it was huge! I would not turn back to not driving, it gives me my freedom, and well I kinda love it!!!!
The second prompt was to scrap about something which someone else has said about you or too you which makes you happy. Easy. It's K each and every time. Well he tells me he loves me or I look nice - and mainly, how when he texts me each and every one is signed with a kiss.
Third. Was described as Life CV. Well things are good. I'm pretty happy with me at this time. I'm feeling more confident about myself, my life and that makes me smile. I'm not that bad, I'm ok and thank my lucky stars each day that I have Kevin in my life, my health, my family and my job.
That's my Academy assignments for the month.

Next on my little list of things to do... Laura set a challenge over on Gogo. To be inspired by the recent Orange Advert (you know the one with the wicked witch from wizard of oz and the cinema) Here;s my take, based on friendships and to use some orange. Another layout which has helped my realise how lucky I am.
Last but not least, a very little mini book of some pics of mine and K's recent trip along the Thames. It was a super quick book to put together and just used some ribbon, letter stamps and my black pen!! I like it.
So that's me done, a rather productive afternoon.

{So Saturday....}

I scrapped!!

My local crop was extremely small affair this month what with end of Easter holidays, ally pally and various other inconveniences!! But hey ho I was there and treated myself to a skinny latte with a shot of sugar free vanilla from Starbucks!!

So I made these layouts - not too bad for a days work!
This was inspired by the scrapjacked blog!

The rest of the weekend was pretty chilled - saw a few friends, lunch with my parents and popped in to see K's, a couple of films (drillbit taylor and back to the future 3) plus CSI Sunday!! And more Harry Potter reading! Also I have just started watching the 1st season of Gossip Girl on disc from lovefilm - I have fallen in love with the preppy style already and shall now be searching for headband with bow and cute little dresses!! (any tips???)
On another note - I love Asda clothes - good value, fit well and wash well. Only problem they never have my size - but I have discovered that you can order George clothes online! I got myself a little dress and cardy for the sum total of £20!!! Bargionous!

That's all time for bed!! Night Night!!

{Chillaxing!}

Today we woke up and decided lets go out for the day! Extremely decisive for us. So we headed of to Hampton and took a nice walk along the Thames, stopped for a bit and we sat and read out books - while doing a bit of people watching too!!
It was so pretty sitting by the rive and watching the world go by. We took K's new camera out and got some nice shots. Next time we go back were going to make it inside Hampton Court! After watching The Other Boleyn Girl this week I feel the need to read more and learn more about it!! Any suggestions on books greatly taken!
We also had a bit of lunch while overlooking the Thames and watch all these boats sail by. So peaceful....
Then we heading to Richmond to a little pub right by the River - yet more chillaxing!! Surrounded by families and students!! Notice the flip flops - first flip flop day of the year!!

Also this weekend we celebrating my BFF graduating with her masters! (Well done Helen!!) Saturday down in Crawley with some work friends and then today. Truly a relaxing weekend!
In other news I'm so loving all the daffodils out in bloom they look so happy and sunny!! Yay for the spring. Which leads nicely on to....

The layout I finally finished. Ok it took a while but only as I was working on it a little here and a little there! Love how it turned out. The pic is from our local park about a month a go when all the crocus were out in full force. The papers were from a swap at my local crop (Thanks Claire) plus some added embellishments.
SO that's me for now! Time to get sorted for another week at work - But at least it's a sort one!!

{Another day...}

..is over! Phew! And today's brought a new pair of work shoes - these

found on a little lunch time excursion to m&s! nice!

Here's a few layouts I made at recent crop with March gogo Kit! It was a particularly yummy kit, and I still have tons left over to be used on a few more layouts!

I loved the colours of the kit and they worked perfectly with my recent pics of my scrappy weekend away, pics of my local park and Starbucks photos!!

Right much dash - dinner to cook (fajitas (inspired by Laura/Will recent cooking! yum!) and nachos!), The Apprentice is on later plus an episode of freaky eaters is now on - guy who eats a dozen Yorkshire puddings a day, and that's it!!!! (any one else watch this with astonishment! I'm a fairly fussy eater but...) and a least a couple of chapters of Harry Potter tonight , may even finish a layout that has been laying on my craft table most of this week!

Any hoo over and out!! Lx
